An ultrasound is a powerful and important non-invasive diagnostic tool that is used to develop a real-time image of a pet’s body. This reveals critical information about internal processes including the:
- Circulatory system
- Gastrointestinal system
- Skeletal system
With these components, we can better diagnose internal injuries, blockages, and potential diseases. Ultrasound is painless for your pet—however they must remain completely still during the process. Often, sedation or anesthesia may be used to keep them still. Our staff will monitor every patient who undergoes anesthesia, to ensure safety and comfort.
